Mountain Laurel Center Sale Completed

Months of financial wrangling and complex negotiations finally are done. Mountain Laurel Center and its 675 acres of land belong to a private developer.

The long-struggling arts center will continue to operate as a non-profit organization — but the deal that saved it from crushing debt means the center will be surrounded by one of the largest home developments in the Poconos and in all of northeast Pennsylvania.
